Disney Cruise Adventure

We began our 4 day Disney Cruise adventure in Port Canaveral, FL. When we first arrived we were greeted by Minnie Mouse where the kids stood in line to get their pictures with her while the parents did the embarkation check in. Check in was fast and easy. Once we stepped on the ship we were asked for our names and were announced over the loud speaker that we had arrived which made us feel famous but they do it for everyone :) Our staterooms were ready just as we got on at 1:30pm so we unpacked and relaxed before lunch. We had lunch at the Beach Blanket buffet which was very crowded but the food was good. We then took a tour of the spa which was very nicely done and had lots of embarkation specials for guest to take advantage when they first board. After booking our spa appointment for the next day we did the life boat drill which was held inside one of the dining venue, toured the ship and then participated in the sail away extravaganza. We then went back to our staterooms and got ready to watch the Golden Mickey show that was playing before we headed off the dinner at Tritons's Restaurant. The food was delicious - Susan had the sea bass with risotto and I had the beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes and bacon wrapped asparagus. The dining room was perfect, not too big or too crowded. Disney does a great job matching you up with your dining companions and the service was just what we expected - excellent. After dinner we called it a night to get ready for our busy day at port the next day.
